Daily Dose of Insane Paper Art

Creepy, right?  Don't worry - a match is all it takes to make it go away.  The memories, though.. they last.  Forever.

This is the handy work (get it?) of Peter Callesen - a master of the paperical arts.  According to the site, all of these works are created from SINGLE sheets of paper.  I don't see how, knowing physics and all, but I'll take his word for it.  Impressive stuff, hit the jump for a few more.

Daily Dose of ...ugh

Bad news, for me at least, folks.. Pulling in to work today, some fool decided to come flying up the wrong side of the street and into my car.

So, please bear with me as I get this all sorted out, if I'm slacking the next few days.. my apologies.

If any you happen to know any giant douches who drive their girlfriends white convertible eclipse GT with those awesome un-painted hood scoops glued on the hood... kick his ass for me.

(btw, he was on work release, too)

Daily Dose of Jack-O-Lan...FFFFFUUUUUUUUU

Click for Full-Size
So it took a while for me to not hate this meme.. probably for the same reason I find FML intolerable - people use it for mundane situations.

However, there are a few good ones out there and I think this is just awesome.  Is it Halloween yet?  I need my yearly fix of sugar bricks aka Candy Corn.

Daily Dose of Monkey Mustaches

Meet Emperor Tamarin.  Not sure what he's the emperor OF, but I'm sure it's some balla-ass part of the jungle where we all wish we could be.

Now, if you didn't notice, this thing has an epic 'stache.  I mean, seriously, I could try for years to pull something like that off and would only come in about half as badass.  Just because I think you need to see more, I'm putting a handful of pics after the jump of what I consider to be the best of the best when it comes to these guys.

If you actually want to learn something about them, go to the wiki.  But, to be honest, there's not much else interesting about them.

Daily Dose of EPIC PIZZA

If there are two things I love when it comes to food, they are PIZZA and VARIETY.  Oh, and naked ladies, but that's a different story.  Check it:

Do you see what is happeneing there?  That's 20 mini pizzas piled onto one huge pizza.  Where can I get this?

Can anyone identify all of them?  I'm seeing Hawaiian, Olives, Spinach, Sausage.. ok I'm hungry now.  Off to 17th lunch!

Daily Dose of Apple Nostalgia

I love this picture.  I'm no Mac user or anything, but the combination of the Apple belt buckle on the left and the massively popped collar on the right just make this worth enjoying.

Daily Dose of How to Wrap Anything

(click for fullsize)
So we all know that I can already rap everything, but come X-Mas time, I have a hard time wrapping ANYTHING.

Thankfully, our friendly LifeHack Guy put this image out just in time for Christmas (well, a bit late by department store standards) so we are all prepared.  Keep in mind, this guide is for those who don't cheap out and use that shiny paper.  Cloth wrapping with subtle yet difficult-to-untie knots really shows you care.

Daily Dose of Political Gatherings- Stewart and Colbert take on D.C.

John Stewart confirmed last night that he and Colbert's rallies in the nation's capitol will be going through.  Stewart's Rally to Restore Sanity and Colbert's March to Keep Fear Alive will be hitting the streets on Oct. 10 of this year in Washington D.C.  From Stewart's site:

We're looking for the people who think shouting is annoying, counterproductive, and terrible for your throat; who feel that the loudest voices shouldn't be the only ones that get heard; and who believe that the only time it's appropriate to draw a Hitler mustache on someone is when that person is actually Hitler. Or Charlie Chaplin in certain roles.

Are you one of those people? Excellent. Then we'd like you to join us in Washington, DC on October 30 -- a date of no significance whatsoever -- at the Daily Show's "Rally to Restore Sanity." Ours is a rally for the people who've been too busy to go to rallies, who actually have lives and families and jobs (or are looking for jobs) -- not so much the Silent Majority as the Busy Majority. If we had to sum up the political view of our participants in a single sentence... we couldn't. That's sort of the point.
Seems like a fun time.  I haven't been to a political rally since the Brother's of the Cold War Fiesta de la Gato back in '94.  I think I'd have to take Stewart's on this side, if only because I don't like the idea of a march in October.  Doesn't add up.

This is the work of Jason Freeny, who has some crazy stuff going on in his mind.  And I like it.  Over at his site, he has some interesting 3D works, including a few anatomy lessons that we'd all be good study!  Did you know gummi bears had reproductive organs?  You do now.  Not so sweet, are they?

Daily Dose of Happy Birthday - Mario style!

For those who weren't paying attention, like me (hey, I was busy wrangling T-Rxs to ride around while throwing fireballs), you MAY have over looked yesterday being the 25th anniversary of Super Mario!

How are you going to celebrate?  Personally, I could really go for a game of Super Mario 64.  My mind is still a little blown by that game.  Some more commemerative pics after the jump.

Check this out - Tetris shelves.  Pretty awesome right?

WRONG.  Clearly they aren't fully functional or the bottom and 3rd rows wouldn't be allowed to exist like that.  Every hear of Physics?  Look into it.

Daily Dose of Watermelon - TO THE FACE

Title was a spoiler.. but I don't care.  It doesn't matter if you know what's coming because this video is still amazingly hilarious.  Or scary if you're some sort of softie and care about other peoples' well being.

Not me.  A laugh a minute at this one and it only gets funnier every time.  Enough hype, watch this:

Man, she looks like a natural taking it right to the face like that.  And I love her partners initiative to stand there and watch.  Props to her for giving even less of a shit than the guys filming it.

Big Daily Dose of THREATS of the Interwebs

So this article is old.  But since ABC News still thinks it's relevant, so do I!

According to a report run by McAfee (lol) in 2009, these are the top 10 most dangerous search terms on the web.  That is to say, that, searching for these terms is more likely to get you a virus than a good result.. just like the ladies I met in Guam.  Still a fun time, though.

10 Most Dangerous Web Searches

According to the report, "The Web's Most Dangerous Search Terms," the 10 riskiest searches in the United States are:

1. Word Unscrambler
2. Lyrics
3. MySpace
4. Free Music Downloads
5. Phelps, Weber-Gale, Jones and Lezak Wins 4x 100m Relay
6. Free Music
7. Game Cheats
8. Printable Fill in Puzzles
9. Free Ringtones
10. Solitaire

#1 is Word Unscrambler?  REALLY?  WHY THE HELL??

Also, big W.T.F. @ #5

So there you go.  WATCH OUT when you're trying to get to MySpace.  Dangerous world.

What's your most dangerous search term?  Try adding to the end Justin Timberlake.. and Metallica.

Daily Dose of Pac-Man ...created with people

What we have here is the 5th video from Guillaume Reymond's Game Over project in which he recreates classic video games in stop motion with dead bodies!  Wait.. they're alive?  Boring.. check it out anyway!

"French-Swiss artist Guillaume Reymond created this stop-motion video showing Pac-Man being played at a movie theater in Switzerland last month. The project had 111 patient volunteers sit, shift, and change shirts over the course of more than four hours."

You can see more of his videos.. over here and I've tossed in Tetris after the jump for good measure.

SO, check this out.  Awesome sleeve and chest piece (ZERG) with some of our favorite video game characters.  Full video after the jump of him going through the list of everything and showing it all.  What's your favorite?  I'd post a picture of my tats, but then I'd get an explicit tag.

Daily Dose of Higher Education - Snooki Style

Momma always said if you ain't got nothin nice to say, don't say nothin at all.  So I'm not sayin nothin.. I'll leave that to you guys.

FINE... I'll try.. let's see if I can get something nice here.  Nope.  Nothin.

Daily Dose of Fox News

In their never ending quest for cutting edge, hardball (that's one of their shows, right?) journalism, Fox News is posing a question for ALL of us to reflect on.  Now, seriously think about this one, because clearly the more you think about touching other people's private parts, the worse Obama is doing.  Don't you see?  It's so obvious.

That being the case, I suppose nothing in the White House is going well.. from my answer at least.

Up next on Fox, illegal immigrants invading local trailer parks in flying saucers and taking away everyones' guns!  Stay tuned!

Daily Dose of FINISH HIM - New Mortal Kombat gameplay footage

Doesn't that just make you tear up a little?  I don't think fatalities have ever looked as good!  (Although, the more I look at it, the more it looks like Sub Zero is trying to give Scorpion a hickey.. sloppy)

Some leet haxor at PAX happened to get a wonderfully shaky, non-HD, cellphone video of two dudes duking it out on as Sub Zero and Scorpion in the new Mortal Kombat.  Considering how long it's been since we've had a good MK to dig into, this video's got me pretty excited.

The graphics are looking good, all the classic moves are there (for these 2 ninjars at least) and the fatality that we get to see is pretty decent... not quite as clever as it could have been, but I'll take it.

Daily Dose of Army Dogs - Tougher than you

Daily Dose of Munchkin Land

Pictured here, we have Nino Hernandez Guinness's newest World Shortest Man.  He's from Columbia and, at age 24, has reached an astonishing 27 inches (from my calculations, 3 knuckles longer than my fist) and 22 pounds.

Now, since he's from Columbia and all.. it'd be easy to make a joke about coffee stunting your growth.  So I'm going to.  Stay away from coffee kids, it'll stunt your growth.

On a side note:  Check the comments on the source, if you're bored.. bunch-a White Knights over there.

Daily Dose of Lindsay Lohan's Baby Bumpin

Hey guess what everybody??  Our favorite just-out-of-rehab trainwreck is at it again!  In her latest (no doubt cocaine induced) Hollywood rampage, LiLo decided it'd be a good idea to run a red light in a Maserati and run into a baby in a stroller.

At lest she handled herself properly after the accident by pausing for a few moments and driving away.

Daily Dose of Nostalgia: Virtual Boy Teardown

My eyes are getting sore just by looking at these pictures.. if any of you were as fortunate as me to have one of these as a kid then yours probably are too.

The guys over at iFixit have torn apart one of these bad boys so we can all get a good look at exactly what was needed to get those little red lines to look something like a 3D rendition of Mario chasing around a square tennis ball.  Man, felt like such a baller.

That's photo booths that are going to be show at PAX and 2K has confirmed that they're in development of it.  They had a stream going on uStream earlier, anyone catch it?

Daily Dose of Double Rainbows!

What was the look on your face the first time you saw that Double Rainbow video?  Ok.  Now what do you think the look on the guy's face who was IN the video was?  Here's the answer:

Meet Bear (no, not the awesome one that goes out and kills wild animals with sticks, the one that loves rainbows.) a.k.a. Paul Vasquez, the double rainbow guy.  As you can see, his love for rainbows exists well beyond just seeing them in the sky - check out that beard braid!

It seems that Microsoft has snagged him to do some commercials for the new Windows Live photo gallery (see videos after the jump) which is good for me.. I've got some ideas for Windows 8 commercials involving double.. something.  I think they'll go for it.

Video of the ad after the jump along with a meet n greet with our favorite hippy.

Daily Dose of Photobombing

Well I certainly hope this is a Photoshop and not someone actually jumping in front of an X-Ray as its being taken.  However, I suppose, if it IS real, then it's probably for all of our benefits that he's taking a massive dose of radiation to the head.

And I'm sure all of you are now jealous of the one person in the world who has this.  And with Portal 2 coming next year, who can blame you?  Apparently, some Redditor's friend (Wait.  This must be a lie.) with a CnC machine made up what is probably the most badass set of bookends ever made.
